My Baptism Story

Ephesians 2:25-27 says, “Just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.”

The joy of being made new. Not that I was not new before Sunday, for I was the day I accepted Christ into my heart. But I had a very real conviction of a need to proclaim that outwardly to my church in the form of baptism. To truly mark a place of surrender and no turning back. After giving my testimony and worshiping, my fiance Kevin walked with me into the lake by my pastors, and baptized me with water and with the Holy Spirit (Mark 1:8).

What a gift from the Lord this day truly was. He is so good to me.

I believe I have discussed this in other entries as well, the idea of renewal. How important it is to not let one practice, one game, one workout negatively affect the rest. But for now, I just wanted to share that video with you and share some of my favorite scripture.

2 Corinthians 12:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; The old has gone, the new has come!”

Isaiah 1:18 says, “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”
